Peninsula and islands are a good place to start when planning your kitchen as they are focal points for food preparation.
Cooking, prepping and serving activities are segued through the furniture, which all the while allows eye contact with others in the kitchen. This makes for a friendly and efficient kitchen.
A peninsula is particularly effective in a square kitchen where there is unused space in the middle of the room and the cabinets are lined up against the walls. It is a good alternative to an island if space is tight.
An island is the ultimate piece of kitchen furniture for making a kitchen efficient and friendly. However, needs a minimum of 3.5 metres width and 4 metres in length.
Our studio is based in West Sussex and the furniture can be seen by request. We are also appointing kitchen studios and craft galleries to sell our unfitted kitchens across the UK, Ireland and Northern Ireland, USA, Australia, Switzerland and Japan.
